Getting ready for Goat Kids

Seeker enjoying some comfrey.

I was going to do a full post on building a kidding pen, but I forgot to take pictures while I was building it! Oh well, here are the finished shots! We are supposed to get our baby kids sometime this week so we are starting to keep Seeker in her kidding pen about 2/3rds of the day. I let her join her buddy from 2pm – 6:30pm. That way she can walk around and get some brush for awhile, while I’m working outside.

You can see how these panels are held together. I have eye bolts on the edges with a piece of rebar holding them together. This way I can easily take them apart and store them away. It also allows me to like more panels together.

Got a baby cam going so I can be alerted if anything is going on.

Scratching her butt in the middle of the night.

This was the best shot ever! She never lays in the middle perfectly in front of the camera.
